Whether you’re new to Twitter or have been using it for some time, it’s important to actually take a moment every now and again to evaluate its value. Is Twitter working for you and your practice? To ensure it does:
Set goals – and meet them.
Want more patients? An increased uptake on high value treatments? To improve the perception of your brand? Set goals as the first step to developing more effective ways to engage your audience and grow your practice on Twitter.
Don’t be afraid to ask.
Get proactive. Ask your patients if they are following you on Twitter and what they think about your Tweets. Find out if there’s anything you can do differently that would make the experience better or more valuable for them. Be sure to ask your followers for RT’s and advertise your account(s) on your practice literature.
Define metrics.
Do some thinking about how you’ll measure your success. Will you track how many followers you get per week or how much your followers interact with your account daily? Here are some metrics to consider:
