Instagram Reel Ads

Reels ads are the latest ad format on Instagram. They’re highly engaging allowing you to gain more followers for your practice.

Reels ads are full screen and vertical, similar to ads in Stories, and will appear in between individual non-sponsored Reels that patients are viewing. They aren’t however the same as organic reels. They can only be up to 30 seconds long, unlike standard reels, which can be viewed for a full minute. And, unlike other promoted posts on Instagram, they can only be created on desktop.

Patients can comment, like, view, save and share Reels ads. You can also add audio by using your own audio or sample a song from the Instagram library.

There are a few different ways patients can see your Reels ads, including:

  1. In the Reels tab, accessible via the home screen
  2. On the Explore page
  3. In their feed

WhatsApp Ads

With 2 billion users across the globe, WhatsApp is the world’s most popular mobile messaging app. WhatsApp Business which launched in January 2018, is a great way to connect with patients.

To connect with patients more efficiently, you can integrate WhatsApp Business with Facebook Ads. There are no actual ads in WhatsApp, as this has proven to be an unpopular option. Facebook has instead provided a new option to create Facebook promotions within Facebook Ads Manager that then link back to WhatsApp.

There are two ways to run ads from your Facebook on WhatsApp: create a dedicated campaign or boost an existing Facebook post which will offer a quick, easy, and personal way of interacting with your patients from any smartphone.

Facebook Offer Ads

If you’re planning to launch a discount or limited-time special offer to new or existing patients in the lead up to Christmas, mentioning a discount in the ad copy or within the creative is a great idea, as numbers have a way of capturing people’s attention which can ultimately lead to conversions.

When you create an offer ad, there is lots of information that you can add about your offer including:

  • Title and description
  • Redemption location (online or in-store)
  • End date and time
  • Promo code (if applicable)
  • Total number of offers available
  • Terms and conditions

When patients see your offer, they can take advantage of the discount right away or save it to use later.
