1. Your content will solve problems for readers

Complete the products and services section of your business page to showcase what treatments and services your practice offers. Sharing useful information throughout the page will show that you have an expertise in the field. Readers will then come to you when they need an answer to a question.

2. Use Images to capture the readers attention

A picture is worth a thousands words…this is also true when it comes to LinkedIn. Imagery makes your LinkedIn page come to life where people are more likely to share your content.

3. Online Videos

Take you company page to the next level with online videos. They can be used to demonstrate procedures that you offer, testimonials from patients, interviews with key employees and videos inside of the practice.

4. Make updates short and sweet

Status updates will appear in the news feed of the patients home page. Its therefore important to include a short, sweet and relevant title, image and opening sentence to let readers know what to expect when clicking through but not giving the whole story away. Interesting content will make readers more inclined to share your content.

5. Engage with your audience

While LinkedIn is a professional space, it is also a social network. Many people follow your practice as a way to engage and interact with you so you need to make the effort to communicate back. To encourage engagement, ask people questions and reply to their comments.

LinkedIn started offering sponsored updates in 2013 which are a great way for businesses to reach more readers. Using sponsored updates can extend the reach of your updates to people who qualify as leads.

Showing the human side of your business is an important way to create trust with your patients. Include fun and interesting content to help readers make a deeper connection with you.

8. Manage your LinkedIn page effectively

Make sure you have enough time to handle your LinkedIn page. Followers will find it much more useful if the content is kept up-to-date.
