Selling a service online makes writing product descriptions more important than ever as a quality description Writingshould be able to communicate the value of the treatments you are offering. The language used should get patients excited and convince them that your practice is what they need.

Speak the customer’s language

Use words and phrases that your patients will relate to, rather than technical jargon they will not understand. Know when to take on a formal or more casual tone. At the end of the day you know all the benefits your practice has to offer.

Use font, size and colour correctly

Make your product descriptions as easy to read as possible by using contrasting fonts and colours to highlight different words and phrases.You should also separate headings from other parts of text, this will make your descriptions more memorable than a plain block of text that won’t engage the reader visually.

Write unique content

Make sure your product descriptions are unique and not simply copied from a different website. The patient would have been shopping around and comparing prices therefore they want your personal take on what makes your practice special from the rest. Unique product descriptions also has a positive influence on your SEO. If your descriptions are duplicated from another site as opposed to writing your own, you’ll find that your pages will get filtered by Google meaning that people won’t be able to find your service as well when searching online.

Use keywords the customer will be looking for

When a customer searches for a service, they may use certain descriptive words to find what they are looking for. You can incorporate these words into your product description to improve the chances of your patient finding your practice early on in their search. Think about the kinds of qualities people will look for when they search for your practice.

Put yourself in the customers shoes

Think about what kind of content would make you want to visit your practice. What would you want to know about the treatments that you offer? These are the things your patients will want to here about, they want a quality service that promises to be better than the competition.

If you keep these ideas in mind while writing your product descriptions, you will generate interest and enthusiasm which will naturally increase new patients enquiring about your practice.
