Since being created in 2005, YouTube has become the largest video-sharing platform (100 hours of video uploaded every minute), been bought by Google (for $1.65 billion in stock in 2006) and become the second largest search engine (more than 3 billion searches a month).
And now YouTube have another reason to celebrate as they have reached a milestone of 1.5 billion logged-in visitors per month. It is important to note that this is logged-in visitors and that the total number, including those not logged in, is likely to be substantially higher than this.
Many of the 1.5 billion logged-in users spend an average of over 1 hour per day watching content on YouTube on mobiles devices alone.
I have to congratulate YouTube as this is a fantastic achievement.
But, my reason for providing stats like these is that most dental practices don’t utilise video marketing as part of their strategy. If you are one of those dental practices not using YouTube, you could be missing out on the opportunity to promote your services to these users, and the additional traffic to your website.
Creating video content can be as simple as asking patients for video testimonials or recording a patient undergoing treatment. But, if you need something more fancy or professional, please feel free to give Dental Design a call on 01202 677277.
