It’s easy to post updates and content on your social media profiles. What’s more challenging is creating a social media page that people want to engage with.
Social media engagement is important as it helps build the relationships you have with your patients and it can lead to people wanting to visit your page more and more. This will then provide the opportunity for you to include promotional content that will be seen and sometimes even shared with others.
But how can you improve the engagement on your social media profiles?
Ask Questions
One of the easiest ways to get the engagement ball rolling is to post a question on your page. Now simply asking a basic question might not inspire many to answer but being creative with the question by providing multiple choice answers and/or an image can attract your patients into responding to your question.
Organise Contests
There are all sorts of contests running on social media so its important to try and stand out from the crowd. Try creating a contest that asks patients to post creative images on your pages and use a designated hashtag. The benefit of using a hashtag especially on Twitter is that you will be able to easily locate all the submissions for the contest.
Arrange an online Q&A
Ask some questions on your social media profiles that prompt your patients to leave feedback about particular treatments or services especially new treatments introduced at the practice.
Post About Current Events
Try integrating the latest news and events especially in your area on your pages as it is likely that your patients are already talking about them and might be encouraged to share their comments on your pages.
