How to guides and videos are not limited to those in the DIY industry, they can actually be a very effective addition to your content marketing strategy.
If you have a blog on your website then you should think about adding a few how to guides in this area, and here’s why:
- Gives you the opportunity to target long tail search terms e.g. “how to get rid of bad breath” or “how to clean my teeth properly”.
- They are likely to attract more users to your website. The reason why users search for “how to” posts is that they are looking for a solution to their problem. Creating a few “how to” posts will help your practice website connect with these users by improving the likelihood that your website appears in search results for these problems.
- Possibility to improve enquiries. If you link your blog post to the relevant services that you provide, this can greatly increase the chances that someone who was doing general research will actually end up enquiring for a particular treatment you provide to solve their problem.
- It’s evergreen content. The content you write for these posts is likely to be long lasting and not need to be changed much – if at all!
- It can be shared. Many people on social media constantly share “how-to” guides with one another. This gives you the opportunity to spread the reach of your practice to these users’ friends and family.
- Improves your practice’s trustworthiness. Providing useful “how-to” guides to users can help them to view you as the expert in the industry and helps towards building a stronger relationship with your patients.
