A blog is a very useful feature to have on your website. It can generate new traffic to your website each time you post content – also Google loves fresh content!
But what use is a blog if people don’t seem interested in your posts or land on your post only to leave seconds later!
Below are a few quick improvements that can be done in a matter of a few minutes to help your posts perform better:
Improve The Title of Your Post
Most people scan the vast amounts of information that is available on the internet, so having an attention grabbing title can help draw them into clicking through to your post.
Link to Another Post
If you have been posting blogs for a while on your website you will most likely have many posts that have disappeared and become lost.
If the content of these lost blog posts are related to your new posts why not create a link to them in the text. It will no doubt improve the bounce rate from the new post’s page and encourage readers to check out other content in your blog.
Link to Your Services
As linking to relevant old posts is useful, so is linking to a dental treatment that you provide so long as there is an opportunity to in the content. The added benefit of doing this is that you might encourage visitors, to your blog posts, to enquire about the treatments you provide!
Add Contact Information and Call to Action
By adding your practice telephone number at the end of the post, along with a call to action, you will most likely give the number of enquires you get a bit of a boost.
Add Images
We are very much drawn towards visual content. Adding an image or two will help give your blog more of an impact and make it more attractive to readers.
