Dental Design visit Julia’s House Hospice
As some of you will know, this year Dental Design is donating 1 percent of its turnover (not profit, but turnover) to Julia’s House, a local children’s hospice. In addition to this, a number of Dental Design clients are also contributing a percentage of their monthly fee to the charity (thank you so much to you all) and yesterday we had the pleasure of presenting them with our first donation of £5000. It was a great feeling to present the charity with the cheque, we are so proud to be supporting Julia’s House and immensely grateful to our clients who are doing the same.
If you’ve never visited a children’s hospice, I’m sure you’d be pleasantly surprised by the amazingly positive and upbeat nature of the work they do and the creative, play-filled environment that has been created – especially considering anyone visiting is there under heartbreaking circumstances. We were very fortunate to have been shown around and learn how funding such as ours is put to use; never have we wanted to raise more money for this wonderful charity.
A few of us took our little ones with us, this made visiting the ‘end of life’ suite a whole new level of painful. As we clutched our children tight we cried for those who were unable to do the same.
We cannot thank those of you supporting us in supporting Julia’s House enough, we promise you that the money – every penny – is put to making the lives of children and the families affected by life limiting illnesses to the most wonderful use.
