Is your practice active on Facebook?
Do you have a Facebook posting strategy? Is it working well for you?
In this blog I am going to list a few tips that might help your Facebook posts become more effective:
Create a Plan
Many practices, once they have a Facebook page, tend to not create a Facebook posting plan and sometimes they might be missing out on posts that provide a lot of engagement.
Creating a plan with a list of various topics that your patients are likely to be interested in can help improve your patients’ interest in your page and the likelihood that your posts are shared with others.
Use Short Compelling Text
With the average Facebook user being inundated with posts in their news feeds, grabbing the attention of these users can be tricky – especially when people have an attention span of only 8 seconds!
If you are looking to grab people’s attention, in their news feeds, the right choice of image and text will be the difference between people deciding to click on your post or not! Be sure to make the length of your text short and to make sure that the first few words are likely to grab people’s attention.
Analyse Your Posts
There are four types of content you can post: links, images, videos and text.
Depending on your marketing goals, different types of content will be more applicable and likely to lead to more success. Have a look through the analytics to do with your posts to see what is working and want isn’t and adjust your strategy accordingly.
Customise the Facebook Post Descriptions
If you are posting links on Facebook it is likely to be taking the metadata for that link and presenting that in your post.
Facebook allow you to edit the original description so you can add your own. And, as the posts are searchable in Facebook, it can provide a great opportunity to add some keywords in the description.
Experiment With Posting Times
The time at which you decide to publish your posts can affect the engagement and success of them. Again, have a look through your analytics for the days, times that provide the greatest success and try to stick to these times for publishing your posts.
