13 things you didn’t know Google could do!
If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you already know the importance of Google for your dental marketing. However, Google is so much more than a simple search engine, here’s 13 features you may not know to do with Google.
1. Currency converter
A quick and accurate tool to help you convert your currency at the current rate.
2. Search Google with an image
This is really useful if you have found an image of something you want to make (a meal for example) but you don’t know the name of it. You can just copy the image URL into the image search bar and Google will find it for you.
3. Unit converter
Struggling with metric to imperial? Google will work it out. Other conversion units include: speed, temperature, digital storage and time.
4. Translate to a different language
With 90 different languages to choose from, Google translate is a great tool to connect you with the world.
5. Solve geometric equations
The kids need help with their homework, and you haven’t got a clue? Type ‘Solve’ into Google and discover the interactive geometric equation which works out perimeter, side measurement and area.
6. Become an explorer
With Google Earth, you have the freedom to explore our planet.
7. Flight information
Handy when you are going away (or waiting to collect from the airport.) Pop the flight number into Google and it will bring up the expected arrival time and gate information.
8. Find your phone
If you have misplaced your phone and GPS is enabled, you can use Google to find it. There’s even the option to ring your phone for 5 minutes to help you locate it.
9. Traffic alerts
By downloading the Google Now app to your smartphone, you can find out the best route to your destination with live traffic updates along the way.
10. Timer
Only have 5 minutes to spend catching up with the latest blog posts? With Google timer you can set yourself an alarm, and settle down for a quick browse.
11. Tip calculator
With Google’s tip calculator you can work out exactly how much gratuity to leave depending on the cost of your meal and the number of diners.
12. Nutritional information
This is a great tool if you are counting calories, or looking for detailed nutritional information.
13. Type in ‘Do a barrel roll’
So maybe this isn’t going to make your life any easier… but it is fun!
