21 Random stats and facts about Google Adwords

Last week our 5 strong SEO team of Marcus, Lucy, Leigh, Faye and myself passed our Adwords certificates, gaining qualification to manage Adwords accounts to the highest standard for another year.  In honour of this achievement, my blog lists some interesting facts and stats about Google Adwords courtesy of Wishpond.

Google Adwords continues to provide our dental practice accounts with targeted and monitored online advertising for specific keywords for ROI and branding.

1) At least 95% of Google’s total revenue comes from advertising

2) Google rakes in 33% of all online ad revenue (38.6 billion out of 117.6 billion)

3) The average click-through-rate for a Google ad is 3.16%

4) An ad in the first search position has an average click-through-rate of more than 7%

5) Number of businesses advertising on the Google Search Network: Over 1.2 million

6) Number of sites that are part of the Google Ad Display Network: Over 1 million
