5 Tips to know about Google+ Business Pages
Google+ Business Pages are in their infancy due to only being 
launched at the beginning of the month. Here’s our very own Dental Design Google+ Page. There has been great debate in the online marketing industry whether Google+ is or isn’t working, I think only time will tell with this one. However, here are some things you should know about Google+ pages:
1) Google+ gives you choice
Google+ gives you the option if you want to show your support for a business, but don’t want to see all of their updates, you can +1 their page. Or if you do want to hear what’s going on with them, you can add them to one of your circles- giving you control over what appears in your stream.
2) Google+ pages can’t follow you until you follow them
Isn’t it annoying when you’re added into facebook groups and get all of their notifications until you opt out? With Google+, pages cant circle you until you follow them first, so the relationship between the practice and the patient is under the patient’s control.
3) Pages can’t even mention you!
Unless you’re connected, google+ pages cannot mention your name unless you’re following that page.
4) If you unfollow a google+ page they unfollow you too.
Unlike twitter, if you unfollow a google+ page they must unfollow you too ,removing you from their circles- again giving total control.
5) Google+ Pages are found in Google search.
With Google’s new direct connect feature, type + followed by the brand name in the search bar and google+ pages will automatically display rather than organic listings. Whether Google+ pages affect organic seo we have yet to see, however I can’t see why it wouldn’t help in the long run.
