Blogging Your Way Through SEO

Blogs have been around for quite a while but there are still many people who doubt the power of article and blog marketing on the website. I would like to stress the importance of this type of marketing and how useful it can be. A blog is a great thing to have if you’re focused on SEO. All in all, if you have a website, it would be an excellent idea to also have a blog, covering a relevant topic so whether it’s a new dental treatment you are offering at the practice or a new member of staff get blogging……

Blogging is a crucial aspect of search engine optimization. Not only does the frequently updated content keep Google coming back to you, but it can win you friends and customers.

It’s not necessarily easy to write a good blog.  Finding the correct tone is difficult, particularly if you’re writing for a specific industry.  Your blog would need to be authoritative and informative without reading like a professorial thesis on the post-modern reconstruction of the meaning of truth.  Your content, generally speaking, needs to be newsworthy, and a blogger that keeps his material relevant has a much better chance of maintaining his readership than a blogger that doesn’t.

But blogging is more than just a platform to express an opinion.  It’s a great way of benefiting your website in terms of SEO.  Think of it like a PR exercise.  You can create hype around products you like, or even your own website.

Don’t be afraid of giving your opinion.  If people agree with you that’s great, but if they don’t that’s also a positive thing.  As long as they have felt strongly enough about what you have written to form an opinion on it, then as a blogger, you have done your job.

Blogging also provides a great opportunity for link building. If someone likes your blog, they might create a link to it on their website.  This is going to be positive for your PageRank as well as driving traffic to your blog, and potentially to your company website.

Get on Twitter and Facebook.  Social media presents a great opportunity for you to share your blog with other like-minded people.

Essentially blogging is a great way to get people talking and if you want more traffic driven to your website – don’t blag it, blog it!
