Goodbye Google car – Hello camel!

Google have decided to take a slightly different approach when capturing views of the desert for Google Street View. Instead of using a Google car, they have been enlisting the services of Raffia the camel. Helpful Raffia has been equipped with a Google trekker 360° camera to capture views of the scenic, 100 kilometre wide (62 mile) Liwa desert in Abu Dhabi.

Luckily for me, I don’t need to carry all this equipment on my back when I visit dental practices. Although my 360-degree kit is still a little on the bulky side, I (unfortunately) don’t require a camel’s assistance.
