The SEO team here at Dental Design are over the moon that Google have announced a new suite of tools called ‘Google my business’. We say new, but in fact we have been using these tools for quite some time to optimise our client’s websites; however Google has just made everything more streamlined into one dashboard.
Google my business is aimed at small business owners, such as dental practices, to optimise their website for high search engine rankings.
After signing up, Google My Business will add the business information to Google Search, Google Maps and Google+, allowing customers to find the business no matter what device or service they happen to be using at the time. Companies are also invited to add photos and virtual tours, read and respond to their Google reviews, as well as add or correct business information like address, phone, store hours and more.
Google also continues to focus heavily on mobile; a Google My Business mobile application is being developed, so that you can now do all of this on the go from either a phone or tablet.
These developments will save the search engine optimisation team a lot of time, meaning that they can focus on the other aspects of search engine optimisation, such as link building, citations and on page optimisation.
