Have you logged in to your Google+ page over the last couple of days? Just as you thought you’ve got your Google+ page looking good- they’ve changed the format of the pages!
Here’s a list of the main changes to your Google+ business page that you need to know about:
1) Cover photos are supersized!
The very Facebook-esque cover photos are now even bigger, with Google+ now allowing you to upload images as large as: 2120 x 1192.
2) The about tab has a new look
The about tab has now been split into three colourful sections: your story, places and links. It has been changed in this way to make it easier to update. Top Tip: the link section allows you to add anchor text- don’t spam this section, but it’s worth adding a link back to your top treatment that you’d like to rank for.
3) Local Reviews
There is now a tab on the left allowing you to leave reviews of other businesses- it’s a good idea to ask as many patients as possible to leave these reviews for you, as this most certainly will help you in the search engine results pages too.
4) Privacy
You’re able to continue to choose which ‘circles’ see which content allowing you to manage your own privacy.
As with all roll outs of change, this is a gradual process, so if your profile is nothing like what I have described yet- it soon will be, watch this space!
