Google has announced that they are revamping the adwords network in order to target smart phone and tablet users more effectively.
The reason behind the changes is due to the expectation that the number of daily google searches from mobile devices will surpass PC and laptop searches by next year.
Google’s senior vice president of engineering, Sridhar Ramaswamy, announced, “People are constantly connected and moving from one device to another to communicate, shop and stay entertained,” he said.
“And there are many more digital screens and devices to come, with the lines between them continuing to blur.”
“Enhanced campaigns help you reach people with the right ads, based on their context like location, time of day and device type, across all devices without having to set up and manage several separate campaigns.”
Despite the development being intended to help market your business, it will only really benefit those that have responsive sites which are able to render correctly across platforms. However, with over 40% of brands still not having a mobile optimised site, it means that businesses and in particular dental practices, have a lot of catching up to do.
