For a while at here at Dental Design we have recommended optimising your website for mobile use and more recently for tablets too with our responsive design packages. Mobile marketing and measurement is a relatively new field due to the fast pace of mobile technology, here is an insight for what’s to come in the future.
The main take away from this article is that mobile is no longer an add on to a campaign- it’s an integral part of it. During 2013, according to google, 87% of marketers are planning to increase their emphasis on mobile with 52% investing in mobile and tablet optimised sites and 48% investing in mobile specific advertising. These figures are not astonishing, considering the shift from desktop to tablets and mobiles in the past few years, with many predicting that web designers will be looking to design for mobiles and tablets first, followed by a desktop version.
Using Google Adwords, it is now possible to create mobile specific landing pages so that you can be more savvy with your pay per click budget by bidding for (usually cheaper) mobile ad clicks; in addition to being at your consumers finger tips- mobile landing pages make patients far more likely to ‘click to call’ from their mobiles making the user experience a lot smoother and increasing your return on investment.
According to a Google survey 53% of marketers found that after analysing their mobile metric, they found that there is a lot of untapped opportunity within mobile and plan to increase their spend accordingly in this area over the next two years.
