Do you send email newsletters?
Is your newsletter open rate healthy but you are suffering from poor click-through?
The following tips below can help improve your click-through-rate (CTR):
Buttons for calls to action
If you are using links for your calls to action, try switching to using buttons instead.
The use of buttons for your calls to action can help users become more aware of the call to action and more likely to click through.
Experiment with the colour of the buttons as well, as different colours have different psychological properties e.g. the colour blue gives users a sense of trust, whereas red provides a sense of urgency.
Provide a build up to an event or promotion
Building the suspense behind a new service, new equipment or a promotion will help to improve the engagement with your newsletters. However, make sure not to make the suspense last too long as people might become disinterested and no longer open your newsletters.
Experiment with the headline of your email
Creating an enticing headline or using a call to action in the headline of your email is a great way to get the attention of your recipients and encourage them to click through from your email.
Use more pictures
People will become instantly put off of your email if it contains too much text – we are after all attracted to visual content. So, try making sure that within your emails there are attractive images that help encourage people to click through.
Personalise your emails
Wherever possible try to make your emails as personal as possible and include what benefits the recipient can receive from taking action.
When an email is tailored for the recipient it can help improve the attractiveness of the content and in turn lead them to clicking through!
Make any promotions time sensitive
When your headline contains a time sensitive call to action, it can signal to the recipient that action is needed urgently which will likely lead to more people clicking through.
