Its important that before you start any sort of marketing, you sit down and develop a plan. You need to know what you want to invest into your marketing, what results you want to achieve, and your timeline. All these steps will make it easier to put a plan into action to achieve your goals.
Additional Opening Hours
- Consider temporarily expanding your practice hours to accommodate patients after normal working hours.
Special Offers
- Christmas Special Offers are a fantastic way of bringing in new patients. Use your email database to put an offer out to all patients.
Competitions
- There are tonnes of competitions ideas out there to excite and engage patients throughout Christmas. If you are running a competition on Facebook ensure you state terms and conditions that link back to your website.
Social Media
- Social media is key, just make sure that a member of your team are able to update the sites regularly, as an outdated Facebook page for example looks worse than not having a presence at all.
Video Testimonials
- Keep a dedicated camera ready and handy to capture any patients who are satisfied with your service and record their comments. These video testimonials used on your website are priceless. It works even better and comes across more sincere, when they are candid and have imperfections.
Valuing Patients
- Recognize a patient’s continued involvement with your practice. Perhaps send a package with tooth paste, toothbrush and floss as a thank you. This gives patients a reason to tell their friends and how special you made them feel and the excellent, friendly service that you offer.
Google Reviews
- Getting reviewed in Google can increase your traffic. Encourage patients to go to your Google Places listing and review your practice after their appointment. When you receive a high number of positive reviews, you will start showing in the local search results in Google, which means you will get a lot traffic to your website, followed by more patients to your practice. Perhaps offer an incentive for leaving a review throughout the festive period.
Traditional Marketing
- Use printed materials to promote your practice in the local community, such as business cards, leaflets and signage.
Visual Aids
- Use visual aids when explaining specific treatments to patients and back up explanations with patient-centered brochures that truly address the patient’s concerns, particularly nervous patients.
