Have you noticed a change in the way your dental practice’s facebook page is laid out?
In this blog post, learn the top 5 things you need to know about Facebook’s new page layout and what you need to do to make the most of them.
1) Photos have a new size
Before the change, facebook images were 403 pixels wide, now they’re 504 pixels wide, a huge 25% increase!
Make sure your images are correctly sized to make the most of the additional space.
2) Tab apps have moved.
Facebook apps used to be displayed with images just below the cover photo. Now, there is a text link below the cover photo for your first tab and then the rest are in the “More” drop down menu. Images for your first app are now placed in the bottom left of the page.
3) Left menu sections can be reordered
Almost anything which isn’t a post is now stored in the left-hand menu. You can ‘drag and drop’ these to reorder them.
4) Website Links show automatically
The about section now automatically shows your web address if you have added it to the settings.
5) Reviews are easier to find
If your page is in the local business category, the reviews have been moved to the top left hand corner of the page, making them more prominent than ever before. Make sure you respond to your reviews in a professional manner.
Facebook continually review page layouts and features, so it’s worth keeping an eye open for upcoming changes to see how this will affect your social media campaign.
