5 Ways To Find Leads On Twitter

5 Ways To Find Leads On Twitter
29 July 2014 | | Social Media

Many practices don’t know how to find and engage with the right people on Twitter. Here are five easy steps to begin your Twitter journey…

#1: Search Keywords and Hashtagstwitter-logo-hashtag

Twitter has over 600 million users so there is bound to be a readily available target audience and you should be actively looking and talking to these potential prospects. Start by making a list of keywords and hashtags related to your practice and the treatments you offer which can be used as a search in Twitter to find and follow prospects you think are interested. You can engage with then by re-tweeting their content and using @mentions.

You can also try the advanced search option to narrow your results further, even their exact location. The advanced search results give you a real time stream of people tweeting about and potentially looking for your service where you can offer them an incentive for joining the practice. If the patient has a query make sure you respond to them as soon as possible.

When using twitter search click over the profiles to see who has the most followers and more importantly the frequency and volume of re-tweets they get for your keywords. These people could end up being your influencers and will play an important part in reaching your prospects.

#2: Pay Attention to Off-Topic Tweets

We tweet to express our likes and dislikes about a particular topic. It makes it easy to divulge into these insights without formal market research. Its also a good way to find out what your patients interests are outside of what you’re offering. The better you understand your markets demographics the more effectively you can market your practice.

#3: Incentivise

You can gain consumer insight, increase your patient list and learn about treatment preferences through incentives. You can offer a prize directly related to your business, that way you’ll attract people who are genuinely interested in what your practice has to offer. Using the option to enter by leaving an email address is always an effective way to gather potential patient information, especially as these are the ones most interested in what you’re offering.

#4: Share Worthy Content

Quotes, questions and trivia are the most shared content on Twitter. Quotes can inspire and create like-minded feelings that result in a re-tweets. Questions provoke engagement, tweet questions you are asked the most in the practice and let people know they can find the answers on your website linking to that exact page. Trivia gives followers an insight into your offerings and gives them the urge to want to know more.

#5: Take Advantage of Twitter Cards

Twitter cards give you up to 200 characters for your product descriptions and let you add images and videos. To use them you have to add a bit of code to your website or have an advertising account with Twitter. There are eight different types of twitter cards but it would be the product and lead generation cards that would work well in this case. When someone clicks on the card it auto-populates with the email address associated with that users Twitter account.
