Cycle To Work Day
Team Dental Design ditched their cars today in favour for bikes to raise money for the British Dental Health Foundation’s National Smile Month!
National Smile Month is the UK’s largest and longest-running oral health campaign. National Smile Month promotes three key messages, all of which go a long way in helping to develop and maintain a healthy mouth. They are:
- Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
- Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
We all set off at the usual time that we would leave our homes in our cars and noted the miles covered and difference in time it took to cycle in.
Our MD, Nigel, sponsored us all £5 per mile and as a team we covered a whopping 83.8 miles! This means that we have successfully raised £419 for National Smile Month 2015.
We’d liked to say a big thank you to Cyclexperience – Wareham for the bike hire. We have even inspired some members of the team to keep the momentum going and sign up to the cycle to work scheme.
