It’s official! Google are favouring mobile friendly websites over desktop versions in the Google Rankings.
Did you know that on average, 40% of website traffic comes from mobile and tablet users? Dental Design have been advocates of mobile and responsive design for years and now it’s finally official that you are more likely to rank highly if you website is optimised for mobile.
Google will notify users of mobile friendly websites with a new labelling system. These labels are the first step in helping mobile users have a better mobile Web experience, says Google. The “mobile-friendly” feature will be rolling out globally in the following few weeks.
In order to be eligible for the “mobile-friendly” label, a page must meet the following criteria as detected by Googlebot:
