Pinterest Predictions for 2016
There are all kinds of recaps and best-ofs at this time of the year, but instead of looking back, Pinterest are looking forward and making some predictions for what they think will be popular trends and topics for 2016.
The company writes: “We looked at trending Pins in popular categories, Pins from our most influential Pinners and even a few hand-picked by Pinterest employees.”
See below the top trends within each category for 2016 as chosen by Pinterest.
1. Home- Geometric tiles
2. Hair and Beauty- Coffin nails
3. Kids and Parenting- Teaching kids to code
4. Tech- DIY drones
5. Art and Design- Adult colouring books
6. Travel-inspired tattoos
7. Fashion- retro trainers
8. Food and Drink- Avocado oil
9. Fitness and Health- Muscly backs
10. Gardening- Cinderblock gardening
Unfortunately there’s no mention of dentistry in the Pinterest top 100, but here at Dental Design, we’re particularly intrigued by the kids and parenting topic about teaching kids to code- which we of course think is a great idea!
