Social media is a huge commitment for any dental practice when you don’t know the full benefits. So what social media tools actually deliver?
Social Media Management
Hootsuite
“Hootsuite” is arguably the best social media tool for both cost efficiency and performance. Probably the biggest reason to use Hootsuite is the ability to schedule content to multiple social media accounts simultaneously all within one dashboard. You can also measure campaign results using the custom inbuilt analytics, track conversations and delegate tasks that need to be completed within your team.
Customer Service
Must Be Present
“Must Be Present” is a free tool that searches your Twitter account to find out how quickly you respond to mentions. It then uses engagement reports to compare your response rates with other users giving you a snapshot of how you compare. Monitoring response rates is crucial as patients are more likely to recommend a practice that provides a quick and effective response.
Brand Management
Social Mentions
It’s always important to monitor what’s being said about your practice on social media. “Social Mentions” built by Sprout Social is a free tool for brand reputation management. The tool goes way beyond Google alerts finding almost anywhere your brand is mentioned online. You can monitor over 100 social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube. There are also some basic analytics that allow you to measure brand reach.
Tweetpi
Twitter can be overwhelming to manage but “Tweetpi” makes the job a whole lot easier allowing you to analyse the engagement and activity of your followers. Within the platform you can remove unfollowers, clean up inactive followers and reciprocate by following users who follow you. Tweetpi is the perfect tool for keeping your twitter up-to-date ensuring you are only engaging with relevant users.
Custom Audiences
If your practice is advertising on Facebook then you should really be using “custom audiences” which is a free tool. You can upload email lists from an excel file or directly from mail chimp lists. You can also create audiences from Google+ circles, Facebook and even website visitors.
Inconosquare
“Iconosquare” is like Facebook insights but for Instagram. The tool has a comprehensive analytics dashboard that allows you to view follower engagement, your most engaging content, trending hashtags, follower demographics and more. Just like Facebook Insights Iconosquare provides the perfect data to assess what content is and isn’t working well with your target audience. The analytics function within Iconosquare is free but you can also run competitions and promote your Instagram account within the app at an additional charge.
