We are all being told that unique content is what Google loves. But creating GREAT content can be tricky. If you are looking for ways to grab people’s attention, keep them reading and to ultimately make some sort of action then reading the following tips below may just help you!
Create ATTENTION grabbing headlines
Most people navigating the web will be skimming through individual headlines until something grabs their attention and makes them want to read more. The importance of headlines cannot be stressed enough as you could spend a lot of your time creating the best content on a page but if the headline doesn’t interest people then your content might not be read. The types of headlines you could try are:
- Direct Approach – e.g. “Free Hygienist Appointment When You Have Your Teeth Whitened”
- News Headlines
- How to – e.g. “How to Clean Your Teeth the Right Way”
- Question – e.g “Are You Flossing?”
- Command Headline – e.g. “You Need to Get Your Teeth Checked Today”
- Reason Why Headline – e.g. “5 Ways To …..”
- Testimonial Headline
Write Worthy Content
Follow these simple steps to make sure your content is GREAT:
- Provide a stimulating intro – so you have attracted the attention of the reader using your headline, but make sure that they are still drawn in to read the remaining content. If the introduction disappoints them they will leave and some of the most important bits of your content will not be read.
- Use images – it’s a known fact that images make content more appealing to read and are useful in illustrating your point.
- Be organised
- Share links – link to content that reinforces your point. Linking to highly authoritative content elsewhere can help establish you as a trusted source of information which will make people come back to read more of your content in the future.
- Call to Action – add a call to action if it helps the reader.
