Whether you’re creating your very first website for your practice, or have just bought a practice and looking to rebrand, the following steps will guide you through what you should be doing to jump-start your SEO and enquiries.
Coming Soon Page
You might think that SEO is supposed to start once the website is live, but you could be wasting valuable time between now and then.
Having a coming soon page allows you to start work on your SEO for your domain name and, if you have a contact form on the page, allows you to register new patients before the full website is live.
Social Media
Build up a following on social media, especially the big ones (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google+).
Spend a bit of time creating posts, sharing and engaging with people.
Try using Facebook Ads linked to your “coming soon” page to help boost the number of enquiries.
Pay-per-click (PPC)
On the subject of advertising, why not try Google Adwords to promote your practice in your location, especially if it is new and doesn’t have any online presence yet.
Content for your website
The content used on your website is a huge factor when it comes to converting patients, but also in terms of your SEO.
Google loves unique content and will reward you for creating it. It might seem easier to use generic content to get your website live quicker, but it will not do you any favours in the long run.
Build links to your website
If you’re rebranding your website and the old domain had a lot of authority in Google you can pass most of this across to your new domain.
However, if you are starting out completely fresh in the online marketing world, building links whilst your website is in development will help kick-start your SEO especially if you are in a competitive location.
