Every day, businesses are using video to connect with their customers in a uniquely personal way on social media. In the first year of Twitter-owned Periscope, people worldwide watched an average of 110 years of content every day. On Facebook, people comment 10 times more on a video than other content.
So, how can your dental practice benefit from video on social media?
Take a little tour of your practice, show the viewer areas of the practice they wouldn’t usually see like your decontamination area, staff room or beautiful back garden- people love to be nosey!!
Ask members of staff to give their top three tips for oral health, or explain a particular treatment- just like you would in an ordinary examination. This helps to spread your message further than the dental chair
Just bought a cerec machine? Are you using a new tooth whitening method? Let people know about it in a ‘launch video’, this could help encourage patients to book treatment they were previously unaware of.
Get your patients excited about a new competition or special offer which is exclusive to your practice.
Whilst making videos isn’t something you need to do every day, it’s definitely great to get into the habit of posting at a scheduled time, maybe once a fortnight, so that you can advertise it beforehand on your social networks to get maximum views of your efforts.
