Google has released ‘Google Posts’ allowing users to advertise offers for their services directly onto their business listing. This is great news for many businesses all over the world that keep their Google Business Profile in check. Many returning viewers will return to your site by directly searching your brand’s name on Google. By doing this, they activate your Google Business Listing usually located on the right-hand side of the results. This business listing gives viewers a chance to see important information about your business, such as reviews, opening hours and location. There is also the option to call your business directly, email your business or to locate your business using Google maps. Recently, Google has introduced another feature into the business listing called Google Posts.
These posts allow you to place special offers or any other relevant call to actions by the search results, leading to a higher click through rate to your site and even a higher amount of enquiries. Here is a screen grab of what a Google Post looks like on a desktop.

It is clear that Google are beginning to place more emphasis on it’s Google My Business platform. With more and more services being added on a very regular basis. It is becoming apparent that the Google profile is something that Google are passionate you maintain and keep an eye on. Usually when emphasis like this is placed on a particular service by Google, it indicates that the service is a ranking factor.
