Many people hate being videoed (myself included!) and any way who would ever want to sit and watch what you’ve got to say? Actually a lot of people.
Patients are far more likely to thoroughly research dental treatments and practices nowadays, becoming more picky about where they would like their treatment and by who. Before embarking on more expensive treatments, patients want to make sure that they are getting value for money and like to hear what others have experienced that have had similar treatments.
Video’s allow potential patients to take a look around your practice before even setting foot in the building, helping them make a firm decision that your practice is right for them, before they even think about what treatments they would like. However, videos do not have to stop at a tour of your clinic.
It’s a fantastic idea to have an ‘interview’ with dentist’s explaining their more popular treatments to give patients peace of mind before sitting in the dentist’s chair and discussing their particular situation. It just makes everything a bit more personable that sitting and reading which can sometimes come across as an essay on their website.
Furthermore, video patient testimonials provide far more value than lots of written reviews from ‘Joe Blogs’ which may have been written years previously. Again, patient videos are far more personable, aiding the patient to make an informed decision and persuading them to make contact
Did you know videos can also help with your social media strategy too? If a patient asks a question on twitter for example, having a personal response back is a great touch, however actually videoing your response really does go that extra mile and it’s so easy to do! This shows that you can provide fantastic, personable service which is far more likely to spread to your other patients and beyond, rather than a dull tweet about the weather outside!
You can also spread this video to your other social networks, as more than likely there will be someone with the same query who just didn’t think to ask the question. Adding to your customer’s satisfaction with minimal effort.
Overall video is a fantastic way to engage your patients and make them feel fully informed and appreciated.
